Physiotherapists:

Philip Levin: Graduated 1984

In private practice since 1987. Post graduate sports physiotherapy degree completed in 1992. Special interests include sports and orthopaedic Physiotherapy.

Phil has past involvement with Geelong Football Club (AFL) and Victorian Softball (under 19).

Michelle McMeeking: Graduated 1994

Following graduation from Curtin University (Western Australia) Michelle worked in the public hospital system (both acute and rehabilitation).

Special interests include women’s health issues (especially ante-natal and post-natal exercises and education) and sports physiotherapy.

Michelle has been at Active Physiotherapy for over 10 years.

Kristy Edwards: Graduated 1992

Following graduation from Latrobe University, Kristy spent eight years working in the United States in both private practice and hospital settings. On her return to Australia in 2000 she has continued to work in the private sector.

Special interests include Women’s health issues, (especially pelvic floor and incontinence) and spinal injuries.

Matthew Stanlake: Graduated 2005

Since graduating from La Trobe University in 2005 Matthew has worked in a variety of roles ranging from inpatient hospital rotations at Monash Medical Centre to private spinal and sports therapy centres. He has a keen interest in sports, specifically football, triathlon, basketball and surfing. Matthew’s main Physiotherapy interests lie in musculoskeletal and spinal injuries.

Jordan Coleman: Graduated 2008

Since graduating from AUT in Auckland, New Zealand Jordan has returned to Melbourne and since has worked in the private spinal and sports physiotherapy fields, including work with Emmaus St. Leo Football club. He has a keen interest in sports, specifically touch rugby and basketball as well as other sports. Jordan's main physiotherapy interests lie in musculoskeletal/sports and spinal injuries.

Amanda Gray: Graduated 2008

Since graduating from Melbourne University in 2008 Amanda has maintained regular work with sporting groups from the amateur to the elite. Amanda is currently enjoying her work at Waverley Private Hospital treating surgical patients and is looking to undergoe futher studies while woking at Active Physiotherapy. Amanda's main interests lie in sports and spinal injury and orthopedic rehabilitation.

Judith Franklin: Graduated 1980

Prior to joining Active Physiotherapy, Judith operated her own practice in Blackburn Road, Mount Waverley for 25 years including consultation at Waverley Private Hospital and nursing homes/hostels. She had previously worked at Queen Victoria, Epworth and Western General Hospitals. Judith was a founding member of Eastern Pain Management.

Special interests in women’s health, muscular-skeletal disorders and gerontology (older person’s health).

 

Jonothan Stanley-Clarke: Graduated 2008

Since graduating from Otago University in New Zealand Jono has worked in private practice and inpatient/general medicine wards in Melbourne. Jono has had involvement in sports clubs and has a keen interest in his own fitness and nutrition. Jono has a special interest in sports injuries but enjoys treating all musculoskeletal and spinal injuries. Jono has had experience with body building and associated nutrition.

 

 



Remedial Massage:


Victor Pogorilla: Graduated 1996

Victor initially trained in the Soviet Union where he gained experience as an athlete and a masseur at Olympic level (with the Russian Olympic Team). Later Victor upgraded his qualifications at The Melbourne College of Natural Medicine where he achieved the following degrees:

• Advanced Certificate in Reflexology
• Associate Diploma of Applied Sciences (Remedial Therapies)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Specialised Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy

Victor has experience in remedial massage, sports massage, relaxation massage, swedish massage and reflexology.
